Funky Tattoo was born in 2010 from a passion for tattoos and piercing. We started small — a studio on the ground floor of an interwar block on Magheru Blvd., opposite the columns in Piața Romană. The central location was not accidental: we wanted to be easy to find, because a good tattoo shouldn't be a hard journey.

In 15+ years of being here, we've tattooed thousands of people — students, teachers, doctors, lawyers, artists, athletes, celebrities. Each came with a story, and we listened to each one. For us, a tattoo is not just ink on skin — it's an act of identity, of courage, of life marked. We've learned to read people: those who come determined, those who come curious, those who come with fear and leave with a smile. This reading makes the difference between a good tattoo and a tattoo that becomes part of you.

We don't just do what you want — we guide you toward the best choice. This is our philosophy: we listen, we advise, and we execute to European standards. If your idea doesn't work technically on the chosen body area, we tell you. If another style would work better, we recommend it. If a motif has a meaning you didn't suspect, we explain it. Our team is made up of artists with different specialisations — one is the lettering person, another is the master of realism, another works best in old school. We don't all tattoo in all styles, and that's a virtue, not a limitation. When you come to Funky Tattoo, we pair you with the right artist for your vision, not the one who has a free slot. And piercing is done exclusively by a dedicated piercer, not by a tattooer who also does piercing on weekends.
